The 2009 Proclamation for Change, is an evidence-based set of recommendations for transforming the hospital work environment. In January 2007, key findings of a well known Time and Motion Study were presented to more than 200 healthcare executives and frontline staff from across departments. In response to the study, the participants drafter evidence based recommendations to improve nursing practice and environment and the Proclamation was born. It is now endorsed by leading healthcare institutions and societies across the country.
