Why Medical Device Data Systems (MDDS) Isn't Enough
Medical device connectivity is quickly moving beyond the basic connection of devices to systems; beyond just charting vitals. Capsule understands this and we have been working with our partners and our customers over the last several years on what the future connectivity needs and requirements to meet those needs are.
Capsule truly understands where connectivity needs to go. Our roadmap includes solutions that will deliver true medical device interoperability, will enable an optimized clinical workflow, and will address the challenges of managing association at the bedside. These types of solutions will require much more than the class I of MDDS'; in fact they will likely require Class II FDA clearance. Capsule already has this as well as ISO-13485 certification.
The bottom line is, if all you are ever want from device connectivity is charting vitals, then perhaps MDDS is enough. If you want a solution that offers more – that offers the most protection possible for today, and the most protection for the future, then your only choice is Capsule. Why? Because Capsule knows what it takes to connect.
