Vice President of Product Marketing
Description: You will be responsible for understanding market problems, trends and needs, and then developing strategies to solve them better than any available alternative. You will participate in managing the long-term strategy for medical device connectivity and other synergistic product strategies, including market requirements, market selection and global positioning. Your focus will be on available and addressable markets, segments and opportunities with a time horizon of the next three-to-five years. The position requires a strong interest in technology and its application to solving current healthcare market problems, while keeping current on market demands. This position will initially report to the CEO based in Paris, France.
Detailed job requirements:
- Utilize Gold Standard marketing practices and skills to develop and execute the global marketing strategy and plan for the in-patient electronic medical record (EMR) market.
- Lead product governance and manage product life cycle.
- Hire and lead Capsule’s product management team to deliver products that meet the company’s growth goals.
- Perform market analysis by analyzing industry, software and customer trends to develop deep market understanding that influences the product strategy and business plan.
- Define the markets, opportunities, and segments to actively pursue. Ensure that the targeted segments represent a significant addressable market to support the business plan.
- Evangelize the market and gather voice of the customer to provide input into product management and the long-term product plans.
- Work with business development to plan channel strategy and pricing strategy that best align with the market segment’s buying preferences.
- Articulate and leverage solution abilities to deliver value propositions to the market by describing products and services by their ability to solve market problems.
- Participate in the creation and execution of a global go-to-market product strategy.
- Create positioning documents that will be used to develop buyer and persona messaging.
- Identify competitive and alternative offerings. Understand why we win or lose and develop a strategy for winning.
- Create and deliver collateral, sales presentations, demos, website content, and thought leadership content.
- Ensure organization and partner preparedness for new global product releases and all items are completed to launch the product.
- Present regularly to customers, partners, sales executives, and to company executives.
- Collaborate with regional product marketing, field marketing, and channel marketing organization to create and execute integrated marketing campaigns.
- Deliver analysis and strategy, in conjunction with the finance team, to set the price for products and solutions.
- Provide input into other industry influencer functions, including analyst relations and press relations and act as a spokesperson to these audiences.
Required experience and knowledge:
- Ten years of experience with EMR vendors such as Cerner, Meditech, Epic, McKesson, Siemens or Allscripts.
- Clinical background as an MD or CNO or a background as CIO or CMIO in Healthcare IT.
- Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA strongly preferred.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in product marketing or solutions marketing.
- Ability to enthusiastically build, motivate, develop, and lead a team.
- Excellent oral communication skills with the ability to present to C-level hospital and healthcare executives.
- Familiarity with both strategic and tactical elements of marketing.
- Understanding and experience working with direct and indirect sales channels.
- Must be willing to operate in an international organization and able to travel up to 35% of time, domestically and internationally.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time, without restriction
- Must be willing to work in our Andover, MA.
