Paris, France, Nov, 7, 2006 - Capsule Technologie ("CapsuleTech") announced today that it has entered into a cross-licensing agreement with Picis, Inc., whereby Picis has agreed to grant CapsuleTech a non-exclusive license to its patent relating to systems for automating data communication between external software programs and sensors. CapsuleTech has agreed to grant Picis non-exclusive rights relating to its software products. The subject technology generally relates to systems for automating patient vital signs collection into a Clinical Information System. The financial terms of the agreement are confidential. The agreement resolves a patent infringement lawsuit initiated by Picis that was pending in the District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and related counterclaims.
